The Michele collection is a collection of hand-blown and hand-made Venetian glass produced in Murano. Venetian glass has been produced in Venice, typically on the island of Murano, since the 13th century. Today, Murano is known for its production of ornate, distinctive art glass of high quality. The Michele collection honors the owner of a traditional family-owned business that has operated in Murano for decades. Michele grew up in the house that today houses his own factory. Michele is Akua Objects' most Venetian-inspired collection, introducing Italian carafes, vases and bowls with a poetic reference. All items are original creations made exclusively by hand by experienced craftsmen, according to the ancient Murano tradition.
