The paper sheet floats at the end of a slender metal rod, like a large abstracted flower petal.

As with all other MaMo Nouchies, the lampshade is made of Japanese paper, which undergoes a special treatment process in Dagmar Mombach’s studio until the desired shape is achieved.

The light source is an LED module equipped with a cooling element, developed by Ingo Maurer specifically for the MaMo Nouchies. The light is warm and soft, almost indistinguishable from conventional halogen light.
